What is the Musical Ladder System®?

Here at the Music Academy, we’re always looking for ways we can improve our lesson experience and give our students more. That’s why we’re the first in both Lansing and Detroit to license the Musical Ladder System®! This proven system helps students get excited about music while keeping parents informed of their progress.

The Musical Ladder System® is being used by schools across the US and Canada to inspire students to practice more and foster a love for music. Similar to karate belt tests, around every 90 days, students have a test with their private music instructor. Once they pass, they receive color wristbands with the name of the level they passed. They also get a certificate of achievement, and at certain levels, they’ll get a personalized trophy with their name on it.

What sets the Musical Ladder System® apart?

We are the only music schools in Lansing and Detroit that let students show off their progress in multiple ways. Students get color wristbands, trophies, AND certificates for advancing on the Musical Ladder System®. Our fun, wearable wristbands are a unique and practical way to measure progress. Plus, students love showing them to their friends! More importantly, when our students have a test coming up, they practice more. Their parents are proud, their teachers are proud, and everybody wins!
