We’re proud to offer music lessons at two locations: Okemos Music Academy and the newly opened Berkley Music Academy. For over 25 years, we’ve helped more than 450 students in Okemos—ages 5 through adult—build confidence and skill through music. Now, we’re excited to bring that same passion and experience to students in the Metro Detroit area.
At both academies, you’ll find expert teachers and a wide range of lessons including piano, voice, violin, guitar, drums, ukulele, brass, and woodwinds—all designed to help you succeed and enjoy every step of the journey.
Our instructors are highly trained, experienced, and passionate about helping every student succeed. With degrees in music education or professional performance backgrounds, they bring both skill and heart to each lesson. We offer multiple teachers per instrument, allowing us to pair you with someone who matches your goals and learning style. Beyond credentials, our instructors are friendly, supportive, and dedicated to helping you enjoy the music you love to play.
We’re proud to be the only music academies in the Metro Detroit area offering lessons seven days a week—from early morning to late evening—so you can find a time that fits your busy schedule.
Monday – Thursday: 10:30am-8:30pm
Friday: 12:30pm-7:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am-3:00pm
Sunday: 12:00pm-5:00pm
Our flexible scheduling saves families time and money by allowing students to take multiple instrument lessons on the same day, all in one place. While other studios may offer a few options, we provide all the most popular instruments in one convenient, high-quality learning environment.
Whether you’re just starting out or picking music back up, we welcome students of every age and skill level!
Every parent wants to see their child grow and succeed—and music recitals are a great way to do just that. Twice a year, in June and December, our students have the chance to perform and showcase what they’ve learned.
Recitals are completely optional, but many students love the opportunity to shine on stage. Best of all, parents never pay admission or extra fees to attend—it’s our way of celebrating your child’s progress together.
Music lessons should be both fun and fulfilling—and as a parent, you should feel confident that your child is safe at every visit. That’s why we’ve put a Family Safety Plan in place, designed to give you peace of mind.
Here are six key features that help us create a safe, welcoming environment for every student:
Our goal is to spark a lifelong love of music in every student. We do this by pairing each learner with a teacher they connect with and music they’re excited to play.
Unlike many other programs, we don’t require semester commitments—so you can start your lessons whenever you’re ready!
We offer lessons on a month-to month basis, so there are no large upfront payments, no complicated contracts, no annual material or performance fees, and no semester minimums.
You can register online quickly and easily through our portal, finding the perfect teacher and day/time that works with your schedule. If you need assistance, our office staff is available to help you 7 days a week.
Lessons are available seven days a week, and scheduled once a week.
There is an annual registration fee of $30 for an individual or $60 for a family.
