Our trumpet, trombone, and French horn teachers have received their education from prestigious institutions such as Berklee College of Music, Grand Valley State University, Maranatha Baptist Bible College, University of Miami, University of North Texas, Istanbul University State Conservatory, Marshall University, Saginaw Valley State University, Washburn University, The University of Kansas, Boise State University and Michigan State University. Many of our instructors have gone on performance tours of the US, North America, Europe, Asia, South America and Australia and have over 25 years of professional performance and teaching experience. Our teachers have even performed for 3 different US presidents! In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and strive to get to know each student and their parent on a personal level.

What will I learn from trumpet, trombone, or French horn lessons at the Academy?

Beginner students can expect to work on notes, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory. Our instructors balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson presents a new technical challenges or theory concept, and ends with something fun, such as your favorite riff or song. We use a variety of method books.

Do I need to purchase an instrument to take lessons?

Yes, to practice at home, you will need to have an instrument available. However, you do not need to purchase an instrument as there are many places to rent an instrument.
